How It Happened
  • St. Joseph's came out firing and pushing the tempo and it paid off as they scored the opening goal of the match just 3 minutes in, to take the lead 1-0.
  • After a seventeen-minute scoreless drought Madison Schultz sent a rocket from outside of the box and found the back of the net to tie the game at 1 a piece with twenty-five minutes to play in the opening half.
  • The bears weren't done on offense just yet, as time was dwindling down in the first half St. Joseph's went on a breakaway and found the back of the net yet again to take a 2-1 lead into half time.
  • St. Joseph's picked up right where they left off and kept up the pressure in the second half they broke through and scored with 25 minutes remaining in the half and took a 3-1 lead
  • The 3-1 score held for the rest of the contest although Madison Schultz did all she could taking 6 shots on goal and controlling the midfield throughout the game.
 
 What's Next?
  • The Dolphins head to long island on Tuesday and take on another skyline opponent in Old Westbury. They will look to get back to their winning ways and keep their home playoff dreams alive. CMSV is currently 3-2 in conference and 4-6-1 overall.
