Box Score Riverdale, N.Y. - Despite winning six straight games, the College of Mount Saint Vincent had their toughest bout to date on Thursday night, when Farmingdale State College took a bus trip to Riverdale to take on the Dolphins. As expected when the two top teams in the Skyline Conference play one another, the game was close - the outcome, however, was one that has become familiar to
James Mooney and his team. Despite the tough competition, CMSV left their home court with another game in the win column, as they defeated the Rams by the score of 73-62. The victory improved the Dolphins to 11-5 on the season, including a conference-best 9-2 record.
CMSV's starting lineup were the top contributors throughout the contest. The tandem of
Ammad Alkhulaidi and
Andrew Curiel continued to dominate, as they both scored 14 points apiece while pulling down seven boards each as well.
Makai Johnson,
Jose Maestre and
Brian Brooks were right behind the duo, as the threesome scored 11 points each as well.
Mike Mulligan and
Jason Barrera came off the bench to score 12 combined points while playing valuable minutes throughout the game. The Dolphins' defense was equally impressive, as the Rams converted on just 33% of their field goal attempts throughout 40 minutes of play.
With this win in the rearview mirror, Mooney and his team will return to action on Saturday. While they have another tall task in Mount Saint Mary in front of them, the Dolphins will look to keep their hot streak intact.
