MONTCLAIR, NJ - The CMSV Men's Lacrosse team returned to action on Saturday afternoon, traveling to New Jersey to take on Skyline Conference foe Montclair State. The Red Hawks dominated play and downed the Dolphins 18-4, dropping the teams record to 1-8 overall and 0-6 in Skyline play.
Michael Puchalski netted a hat trick to lead the Dolphins offense, raising his season total to 18.
James Fitzgerald scored his fifth goal of the season in the second period.
The home side started off strong, scoring the first seven goals of the game, including pitching a shut out of the Dolphins in the 1st period, where they were ahead 6-0.
FItzgerald got the Dolphins on the board in the 2nd period with an unassisted goal at the 10:52 mark of the period. Puchalski would score two of his three goals in the 2nd period his efforts would bring his team within five at halftime.
In the 3rd and 4th periods, the Red Hawks out scored the Dolphins 10-1, including shutting out the Mount in entire 4th period.
