Dolphins Drop Doubleheader To Kenyon

Kochen collects 4 RBI in 2 games

FORT PIERCE, FL - The CMSV Baseball team returned to the diamond on Friday afternoon, taking on Kenyon College in a doubleheader. The Dolphins scored 11 runs during the two game series but still wound up dropping both games 13-6 and 11-5.

In game one, Kenyon scored 10 runs after three innings, but in the fourth the Dolphins bats woke up, scoring five runs. 

Michael Kochen drove in Justin Vavaro with an infield single, then a few batters later, James Valenti singled to center, allowing Honorio Pena to score. Kochen came around to score on an RBI single by Zachary Saunders, then to cap off the scoring, the Dolphins scored two runs on ground-out by Matthew Nesensohn to make the score 10-5 midway through the fourth inning. 

In the sixth, Saunders RBI double down the left field line to make the score 10-6 midway through the sixth inning. 

In game two, the Mount fell behind early, this time allowing Kenyon to score the first seven runs after three inning of play.

Kochen put the Dolphins on the board in the fourth, with his first home-run of the season. His three-run shot to left field made the score 7-3, a few batters later, Luis Castillo drove in the Dolphins fourth run with a sac fly to right field. Pena would pull the score to within two in the fifth inning with an RBI double to center field.
