ROSEMONT, PA - The CMSV Men's Lacrosse team returned to the field on Sunday afternoon, traveling to Pennsylvania to take on Rosemont College in a non-conference tilt. The Dolphins got two goals apiece from
Michael Puchalski and
Ken Brown-Oda but ultimately lost 16-6, falling to 0-2 on the season.
Along with Puchalski and Brown-Oda,
Tyler Porter and
James Fitzgerald were the other Mount players to register a goal. For Porter it was his team leading third of the season.
After falling behind 3-1 after seven minutes of play in the first period, the Dolphins turned it on scoring the final three goals of the period to take a 4-3 lead after 15 minutes of play.
Rosemont responded once play began in the second period as the home side scored five goals in the period to take an 8-4 advantage into the locker room. But two goals by Rosemont in the third put the game out of reach.
Porter and Brown-Oda led the team with six shots each, while Porter went 1-for-2 on face offs.
David Collins had the most success for CMSV going 5-for-8 on face off draws.
Connor McDonald led the team with five ground balls and six caused turnovers.
