Box Score Riverdale, N.Y. - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's basketball team cruised to their second-straight Skyline victory on Sunday night, defeating the Yeshiva University Maccabees by the score of 80-52. The Dolphins improved their record to 3-1 with a 2-1 record in Skyline play while Yeshiva drops to 2-5 overall.
CMSV received a balanced attack on the offensive side of things, as nine players registered at least one basket with five finishing in double figures. Junior
Kelly Oliver paced her team with 18 points - a season-high - while also chipping in nine rebounds, three assists, four steals and a blocked shot. Aiding in the Dolphins' efforts were
Kelly Nola, who finished with 16 points and six assists,
Kristen Merrell, who had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists, and
Yamilersy Reyes, who ended the evening with a career-high 11 points.
Not to be outdone by their older teammates was the freshmen duo of
Leah Pinili and
Aria Rheams. Pinili knocked down 11 points - the second-best mark of her young career - while Rheams hauled in a game-high 10 boards, bringing her per-game average up to 9.8.
With the win behind them, the Dolphins will now set their sights on Sarah Lawrence College, who they play on December 5.
