Box Score Riverdale, N.Y. - Despite a strong effort, Mount Saint Vincent's women's volleyball team (14-8) fell to Hunter College (21-3) in a non-conference matchup at the Peter J. Sharp Center on Tuesday night.
Even in a loss, the Dolphins received contributions from a wide variety of players on their roster.
Sophomore
Tara Maloney paced CMSV in kills (23) and digs (17) while chipping in a block and assist. At the same time,
Patsy Sewell led all Dolphins in aces (3), blocks (3) and assists (15). Seniors
Maria Leineweber (six kills, two aces) and
Nicole Henderson (one ace, 13 assists) were also key contributors in the tough loss to the Hawks.
The team's eighth loss on the season won't affect their conference standings, as the Dolphins remained undefeated against Skyline opponents. They'll look to rebound on October 19 when they face off against Purchase.
