OLD WESTBURY, NY - The CMSV Women's Basketball team returned to the court on Tuesday night, traveling to Long Island to take on Skyline Conference foe, SUNY Old Westbury. The Dolphins had their eight game winning streak snapped, as they fell 81-57 to the Panthers, putting CMSV at 12-6 overall and 8-3 in conference play, entering the final month of the season.
Kelly Nola led the offense for the Mount, as the junior poured in 16 points, one shy of her career high.
Dez Brown added 10 points.
The Dolphins struggled from the offensive end, shooting only 29% from the field and connecting on only five three pointers, three less than their season average.
The game was lost for CMSV in the first quarter, as the home side Panthers outscored the Dolphins 30-14. Brown made layup with 5:51 left in the first quarter to pull the Dolphins within two at 10-8 but Old Westbury ended the quarter on a 20-6 run to take a 16 point lead after 10 minutes of play.
