RIVERDALE, NY - The CMSV men's lacrosse team returned to action Saturday afternoon, taking on Skyline Conference rival Mount Saint Mary's College. The Dolphins lost 20-8 to the Knights falling to 1-10 on the season.
After getting behind by two goals less than two minutes into the game, the Dolphins answered with a goal by
Josh James with 11:10 remaining, the Knights added two more to take a 4-1 lead but with under a minute remaining in the period,
Michael Puchalski scored to make the score 4-2.
However in the second period, the Knights erupted for seven goals, while CMSV managed to score once, on the man advantage, with a goal by
Ken Brown-Oda.
The third period and early fourth period belonged to the Dolphins as they scored five of the next six goals to cut the lead to 12-8. During the goal run,
James Fitzgerald, Ngaba, Puchalski and James all scored, with Ngaba scoring twice in 20 seconds.
MSMC took advantage of a non-releasable penalty by the Dolphins scoring four goals while on the man advantage to sure up their victory.
The Dolphins return to action Saturday April 16 when they will host Montclair State at 1pm.
