The Dolphins bats woke up early in their matchup with the Gators.

CMSV added another run in the third inning, on an RBI single by Dalton to make it 2-0. Sage would get one back in the fourth inning but the Dolphins responded getting two more runs of their own in the fifth.
Broo earned a leadoff walk and then would score on an RBI double by

The game came unraveled for the Dolphins in the top of the sixth inning, as the defense committed three errors, allowing seven runs to score, giving the Gators an 8-4 lead.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Dolphins tried to start a rally and it started off well with a leadoff single by Moos but after two straight fly outs,
Rianna Laughridge, ripped a single to center, sending Moos to second. Both runners would advance to scoring position on a wild pitch but
Kierstyn Bourdeau would line a 2-2 pitch right at the shortstop ending the rally and the game.
The 21 wins in the 2016 season are the most for the program since 2014, when the team went 28-7.
