THROGGS NECK, NY - The CMSV women's lacrosse team returned to action Wednesday night, taking on SUNY Maritime in a Skyline Conference matchup. The Dolphins dropped to 0-4 in conference play losing 13-4 to the Privateers.
The Dolphins got on the board less than 10 minutes into the game when
Alicia Forgione scored her seventh of the season to tie the game at 1-1.
Maritime answered with two more goals of their own to take a 3-1 lead but with 12:05 left in the first half,
Courtney Latorre scored the first of her two goals on the night to pull the Dolphins back to within one at 3-2.
Latorre would get one more before in the first half, scoring her second unassisted goal of the night with 3:48 remaining.
Maritime took a 6-3 lead into halftime and would open up the second half scoring three goals in the first 10 minutes and their defense allowed only one CMSV goal, coming from
Cynthia O'Boyle.
In the net,
Joyce Pagulia stopped 50% of the Maritime shots, making 13 saves in net.
The Dolphins return to action Saturday when they will take on Sage College at 4:30pm in Watervliet, NY.
