YONKERS, NY - The CMSV women's lacrosse team hosted Penn State Abington on Tuesday afternoon, falling to the Nittany Lions 10-8, dropping their record to 0-2.
The Dolphins fell behind 2-0 less than three minutes into play but
Kaitlin McGeown and
Caroline Criscuola scored less than three minutes apart to pull the score even at 2 each.
The Nittany Lions responded by scoring four straight goals to to take a 6-2 lead into halftime.
CMSV found its groove in the second half scoring six goals. Lajqi and Forgione scored late for the Dolphins cutting PSU's lead from 10-6 to 10-8.
For the final 10 minutes of play the Nittany Lions controlled possession not allowing the Dolphins to get much flow on the offensive end.
CMSV returns to action Saturday March 12 when they will travel to Pennsylvania and take on Bryn Athyn College.
