PURCHASE, NY - The CMSV men's lacrosse team hosted Green Mountain College on Thursday night in a non-conference matchup played at Purchase College. The Dolphins downed the Eagles 16-5 to earn their first victory of the 2016 season.
Michael Puchalski led the way scoring five goals for the Dolphins, while also adding an assist.
CMSV dominated and controlled play from the opening face-off, as the team scored 13 straight goals to start the game.
Puchalski started off the scoring barrage less than four minutes into the game to give his team a 1-0 lead. Matthew DellaCorce, Michael McEnaney and
Tyler Porter also scored for the Dolphins as they led 4-0 after 1 period of play.
On the other side of the field, Arben Gashi, making his first start in goal, made 20 saves on the night.
The Eagles would get on the board late in the 3rd period scoring on a man advantage situation.
CMSV returns to action Saturday at 1pm when they will host Becker College at Sleepy Hollow High School.
