Erin Dailey Nets Game-Winner In CMSV 2-1 Win Over Old Westbury

Daily and McGowan Score In Second Half for CMSV

OLD WESTBURY, NY - The CMSV Women's Soccer team returned to action Saturday afternoon, looking to get back to their winning ways against Skyline foe Old Westbury. The Mount got two second half goals and erased a 1-0 halftime deficit to down the Panthers 2-1 and improve to 6-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

The Dolphins were the more aggressive team for the entire 90' of play, attempting 21 total shots compared to 5 for Old Westbury. In the first half, the Mount forced the Panthers keeper into making six saves. 

In the 32' the Panthers got on the board when Edania Martinez put home third of the season from the top of the six yard box. 

Finally the Dolphins broke through in the 59' when Julia McGowan netted her conference leading 10th of the season. She was set up by teammates Kelly Gibison and Nicole Weber. CMSV maintained their aggressive play, looking go net the game-winner.

After subbing back into the game in the 71' Erin Dailey sprung into action and scored her second of the season in the 76' having been set up by Gibison in the six yard box. 

Laura Schools, making her third start of the season in goal, played the entire 90' making two saves.
