The Red Hawks got the eventual game winning goal in the 15
th minute when Kasey Finn finished off a pass from Tyler Madison at 14:05 of the match for the only goal of the opening 45 minutes.

Montclair State took the only five shot of the opening stanza and finished with the only two corner kicks of the first period.

The Montclair State lead was increased to 2-0 just 1:12 into the second half when Madision potted her first goal of the season at 46:12. The Red Hawks closed out the scoring in the game at the 74:09 mark when Shawna Grabowski tallied her first off the season.

Madison finished the game with a goal and an assist to lead the Montclair State offensive attack, while Stefanie Gomes led all players on the night with five shots.

Mount Saint Vincent did not record a shot in the game and was outshot 22-0 after the Red Hawks took 17 attempts after halftime. Montclair also took the advantage in corner kicks 6-0, while fouls in the contest were even at 11 apiece.

Martin suffered the loss in goal for Mount Saint Vincent, stopping four shots for the Dolphins. Erinne Finlayson earned the win for the Red Hawks in goal without having to make a save.

Wednesday's loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 0-1 overall on the season. Next up for the Dolphins in their home opener on Saturday afternoon. The Mount will host New Jersey City University in the opener of the first Hudson Classic. Kick-off at the Athletic Field at Marillac is scheduled for noon.Â
