James Zuccaro (Gilbert, Ariz.) led four players in double-figures with a game-high 24 points and freshman
Andrew Curiel (Bronx N.Y.) netted a career-high 16 points as the College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Basketball team got back into the win column on Tuesday night with an 81-65 road win at Maritime.

Mount Saint Vincent never trailed in the game and jumped out to a 12-2 lead on an
Ammad Alkhulaidi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) three-point play in the first four minutes of action. The advantage would balloon to 26-11 on a jumper from Curiel at the midway point of the first half, before Maritime used a 16-1 run to knot the score at 27-27.

Following the Curiel conversion, Mount Saint Vincent was held a just a free throw over the next nearly five minutes. The Privateers knocked down a pair of three-point field goals over the run, including a triple from Brendon Halligan that tied the score with just under six minutes left before halftime.

After allowing Maritime to tie the score at 27-27, the Dolphins closed the half on a 13-2 spurt to take a 40-29 lead into halftime. Zuccaro scored eight points over the closing run for the Mount, with Curiel adding a jumper and
Jesse Regina (Staten Island, N.Y.) hitting a three-point field goal with 1:13 left to close out the scoring in the opening period.

The Dolphins converted at a 45.7-percent rate from the field in the first half and went a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Maritime shot 33.3-percent in the opening stanza and went without a field goal over the final four minutes of the half. Zuccaro led all scorers at the break with 12 points.

The Mount maintained a double digit advantage coming out of halftime for the first 8:20 of the second half and used a jumper from
Antonio Johnson (Fort Johnson, N.Y.) to move in front 53-36 six minutes into the frame.

Maritime again answered and sliced the Mount Saint Vincent lead to six points following a 15-4 stretch. Isaiah Hayes got the Privateers as close as they would get the rest of the way when a three-point play brought Maritime to within 57-51 with 9:26 left in regulation.

Mount Saint Vincent quickly built its lead back to double-figures on a pair of Alkhulaidi free-throws with 8:34 left in the game and Â
Ryan Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) capped a 14-5 run and gave the Mount its largest lead of the night with a jumper that pushed the lead to 81-63 with 37 seconds left in the contest.

Mount Saint Vincent shot 55.2-percent in the second half on its way to finishing the contest shooting and even 50-percent from the floor. The Dolphins also had a strong night from the free-throw line, converting on 15 of their 18 attempts.

Zuccaro reached 20 points in a game for the eighth time this season after going 8-for-18 from the floor and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. He added 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season to go along with three assists.

Curiel rounded out the game 8-for-11 from the floor and hauled in seven rebounds for the Dolphins. Alkhulaidi and Johnson each scored 13 points in the win, with Johnson handing out four assists and Alkhulaidi hauling in eight rebounds.

Maritime was led on the night by John Liccese who came off the bench to score 15 points. T'Vaughn Gibson netted 12 points and Hayes chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds for the Privateers, who shot 37.1-percent for the game.

Tuesday's win moves Mount Saint Vincent to 13-6 overall on the season and to 9-3 in Skyline Conference play. The Dolphins will return home on Thursday to close out the season series with Old Westbury. Tip-off with the Panthers is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
