Providence, R.I. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Wrestling program was back on the mat this past weekend and had a strong showing at the JWU Wildcat Open. Freshman Brandon Brown picked up a pair of wins for the Dolphins and
Vincent Lombardo (East Meadow, N.Y.) scored one victory for the Mount.

Brown's first victory of the day came with a 5-3 decision over Roger Williams' Colin Egan. After falling later in the day, Brown picked up a win by fall in his first wrestle back bout of the day, winning the tilt 2:09 into the contest.

Lombardo's strong day included a win by fall in his first wrestle back of the day. Trailing in the bout, Lombardo reversed his opponent and took the victory 4:31 into the bout.

Following a strong showing at Johnson and Wales, Mount Saint Vincent will return to competition on February 7 when it competes at the Messiah Open.Â
