NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ - The CMSV Women's Soccer team took on Yeshiva University of Monday night in a key Skyline Conference matchup. The Dolphins dominated play from the start defeating the Maccabees 8-0 to improve to 6-10 overall and 4-4 in Skyline play.
The scoring barage started early as
Nicole Weber scored her 2nd goal of the season just 1:11 into the game, putting the ball in the net after
Kelly Gibison's shot hit the post.
Julia McGowan put the Dolphins up 2-0 in the 6' when she blasted her 11th goal of the season from 30 yards away to beat the Maccabees keeper. Gibison would get her 7th goal of the season in the 17', followed by
Caroline Criscuola notching her 2nd of the season to put the Dolphins up 4-0 just over 18 minutes into the game.
The Dolphins added three more first half goals from Lauren Tate in the 32', her 2nd of the season,
Alicia Forgione in the 36', her 3rd of the season and
Victoria Astorino added her 7th of the season in the 44' to put the Dolphins up 7-0 going into halftime.
The team dominated play in the first half putting 28 shots on net, forcing the Yehsiva keeper into making 13 saves.
In the second half the Dolphins controlled possession with McGowan breaking through once again in the 59' putting in her team-leading 12th goal.
The Dolphins return to action tonight in their seaosn finale when they will take on Farmingdale State at 4pm.
