Ashleigh Scozzari (New Rochelle, N.Y.) recorded the 1,000th kill of her career early in the second set of the Dolphins' non-conference match against Baruch on Thursday night, but despite a match-high 23 kills on the night for the four-year starter, Mount St. Vincent lost to the Bearcats, 3-1 (33-31, 18-25, 25-21, 25-19). The defeat drops CMSV's record to 5-13 on the season, while Baruch improves to 14-15.

Maria Leineweber (Waimanalo, Hawaii) recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 23 digs, while senior
Zana Daluz (Pawtucket, R.I.) chipped in with 10 kills. Sophomore
Nicole Henderson (Bergenfield, N.J.) dished out a match-high 49 assists and also had a double-double with 13 digs. Freshman libero
Chrissy Sewell (Yorba Linda, Calif.) led all players defensively with 25 digs and senior
Jennifer Roman (Queens Village, N.Y.) contributed 12 digs.
Two players also recorded double-doubles for Baruch, as junior Alessandra Chavez led the team with 11 kills to go along with 11 digs and senior Crystle Dela Cruz spread out 39 assists and picked up 17 digs. Six Bearcats recorded double-digit digs, led by senior Nicole Rios, who had 18.
The Dolphins return to action this weekend, when they take part in two Skyline Conference tri-matches in as many days. On Saturday, they will play St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) (11 a.m.) and Farmingdale State (1 p.m.) at St. Joe's, and on Sunday they will host Sage (11 a.m.) and Yeshiva (3 p.m.).
