Riverdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Basketball team eased to a 90-48 Skyline Conference victory over Purchase on Sunday afternoon, running its winning streak to a season-high six games. Senior
Kelly Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) led three players in double-figures with 21 points, while sophomore
Christina Barone (Staten Island, N.Y.) handed out a career-high 13 assists.

The Dolphins put the game away early on Sunday, running out to a 13-2 lead on a Fraser conversion inside the first five minutes of action. The Mount would extend its lead to 18 points on a
Brittany Carroll (Staten Island, N.Y.) jumper with 12:38 left in the first half and took a half-high 29 point lead on an
Allison Clarke (East Northport, N.Y.) three-point field goal in the final minute of the opening stanza.

Mount Saint Vincent limited Purchase to just six field goals in the first 20 minutes, while converting at a 46.2-percent rate. The Dolphins scored 20 points off of turnovers in the first half and turned 11 offensive rebounds into 13 points. Purchase stayed within 47-24 halftime deficit by going 12-for-15 from the free-throw line.

Mount Saint Vincent continued to dominate the game in the second half, jumping in front 56-26 on a Fraser fast break conversion with just under 17 minutes left in the contest. The Dolphins' lead would stay above 30 points the rest of the afternoon, growing to a game-high 47 points when
Kristin Henschel (Rockaway, N.Y.) hit back-to-back three-pointers to move the Dolphins in front 85-38.

The Mount hit a season-high 10 three-point field goals in the game, with Carroll leading the way with a 4-for-5 effort from behind the arc. Henchel and
Theresa Carey (Hampton Bays, N.Y.) each hit a pair of triples as the Mount shot 35.7-percent from bonus distance in the game.

Fraser rounded out the game 10-for-18 from the floor and closed out a strong all-around game with her eighth double-double of the season with 10 rebounds. She added two assists, three steals and three blocked shots for the Mount.
Carroll reached double-figures for the fourth straight game with 16 points, with Carey chipping in with 10 points. The Dolphins finished the game with 13 different scorers, including Henchel who matched her career-high with six points.

Barone rounded out the day with double-figures in assists for the third time this season and surpassed her previous career-high of 12 helpers that came on December 5, 2013 against New Rochelle. She finished with seven points and four steals.
Alexandra Gundermann (Tuxedo, N.Y.) came off the bench to record for points and haul in seven rebounds.

The Dolphins shot 44.6-percent overall in the game. Mount Saint Vincent dominated the paint, scoring 34 points inside and turned 34 Purchase turnovers into 42 points. The Dolphins also held a convincing 22-4 edge in second chance scoring after grabbing 21 offensive rebounds.

Sunday's win improves Mount Saint Vincent's overall record to 11-2 and its league mark to 2-0. The Dolphins will look for their seventh straight win on Thursday when they welcome Sage to the Peter Jay Sharp Center. Tip-off with the Gators is set for 5:30 p.m.
