Throggs Necks, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Basketball team scored an impressive 75-51 Skyline Conference win on the road at Maritime on Wednesday night. Senior Brandon Serrano (Hempstead, N.Y.) scored a game-high 26 points and freshman Winston Ensuncho (Fair Lawn, N.J.) scored a career-high 11 points for the Dolphins.
 
After three ties and three lead changes in the early going on Wednesday, Mount Saint Vincent took control of the game with a 24-5 run to take a 28-11 lead with 5:35 left in the half. Jesse Regina (Staten Island, N.Y.) got the run started and tied the score at 6-6 with 16:17 to play before halftime and Serrano closed the spurt with a jumper to move the Mount Saint Vincent advantage to 17 points.
 
The Dolphins would keep the first half advantage in double-figures the rest of the period and would not allow the Privateers closer than 13 points before the break. Ensuncho gave the Mount at half-high 19 point lead with a pair of free-throws in the final 21 seconds to get the Mount into the locker room with a 36-17 lead.
 
Mount Saint Vincent shot a red-hot 51.9-percent in the first half and posted a 22-8 advantage in paint points and turned 14 Maritime turnovers in to 14 points. Serrano led the Mount with 14 points in the first half on 5-for-8 shooting and Gerard Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) added eight points on a 4-for-5 effort from the floor in the opening period.
 
Antonio Johnson (Fort Johnson, N.Y.) hit a three-point field goal coming out of halftime to push the Dolphins' lead to 39-17, before expanding their lead to 30 points on a Serrano conversion with 12:17 left in the game.
 
Regina pushed the Mount Saint Vincent advantage to a game-high 33 points on a three-pointer with just under eight minutes left and did not allow Maritime closer than 21 points the remainder of the night. Serrano added 12 more points after halftime as the Dolphins shot an even 50-percent from the floor.
 
Mount Saint Vincent shot a season-high 50.9-percent from the floor in the game and totaled 38 points in the paint. The Dolphins forced 21 Privateer turnovers and turned those into 23 points in the game.
 
Serrano rounded out the game 9-for-15 from the floor as he scored at least 20 points for the 10th time this season. He added seven rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot for the Dolphins in the game. Fraser closed out the night with 12 points on 6-for-8 shooting and chipped in with seven rebounds and a pair of blocks.
 
Ensuncho reached double-figures for the first time in his career against Maritime after going 3-for-6 from the floor, including a pair of three-pointers, and 3-for-5 from the free-throw line. He closed a strong night with an assist, a blocked shot and two steals.
 
The Dolphins got a game-high five assists from Regina who added five points. Johnson totaled eight points in the win and secured four rebounds.
 
With Wednesday's win, Mount Saint Vincent improves to 8-16 overall on the season and to 6-11 in Skyline Conference play. The Dolphins will round out the regular season on Saturday when they travel to NYU-POLY. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
