Riverdale, N.Y. –
The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Basketball team will travel to Division I St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday to meet the Terries for the second straight season. The Dolphins, winners of their first six contests of the season, and Terriers will tip-off at 2:00 p.m. with Live Stats and Live Video available for those who can't attend the game.

Tip-Off: Mount Saint Vincent will put its six game winning streak on the line this afternoon when it travels to Brooklyn Heights, N.Y. to take on Division I St. Francis Brooklyn. Tip-off at the Pope Physical Education Center is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Last Time Out: Mount Saint Vincent won its sixth straight game to open the season on December 6 with a 93-66 home victory over Sarah Lawrence College. Antonio Johnson led the scoring attack with 19 points, going 5-for-6 from three-point range, with James Zuccaro and Jamir Ferebee adding 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Up Next: Following Saturday's tilt with the Terriers, Mount Saint Vincent will be off until December 29 when it hosts non-conference foe York (N.Y.). The Dolphins and Cardinals will square-off at the Peter Jay Sharp Center starting at 6:00 p.m.

CMSV vs. Division I: When the Dolphins and Terriers square off it will mark the second straight year the two programs have met and it will be the Mount's third regular season contest against a Division I opponent in the last six seasons . On December 19, 2009, the Mount was downed at Army by a score of 62-56 and last season the Dolphins dropped an 83-54 decision to the Terriers. Prior to that, the Dolphins' last game against a Division I opponent was on November 25, 1989 when they tussled with Marist.

Newcomers: Mount Saint Vincent will feature 13 newcomers for the 2014-15 season. Only four players will suit up for the Dolphins this year that have appeared in a game prior to this season: Antonio Johnson, Jesse Regina, Kahlil Shorter and James Zuccaro.

A Family Affair: Freshman Ryan Fraser is the third member of his family to appear in a game for the College of Mount Saint Vincent. His brother Gerard played for the men's team for two seasons and his sister Kelly became the sixth player to score 1,000 points for the Dolphin's women's program earlier this season.

Fast Start: The Dolphins are off to a 6-0 start in 2014-15, marking the best start to a season since opening 10-0 in 2010-11. The 10 game winning streak to open that season equaled the best start to a season in program history.

NCAA Tournament: Mount Saint Vincent has advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament twice in the program's history. The Dolphins advanced to the National Tournament in back-to-back seasons in 1995-96 and 1996-97.

Skyline Honors: Two newcomers have combined to earn three Skyline Conference weekly honors over the first month of the season. Ammad Alkhulaidi has been named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week twice, while classmate Jamir Ferebee has earned Rookie of the Week honors once.

Preseason Prognostications: Mount Saint Vincent was selected seventh in the Skyline Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Currently, Mount Saint Vincent is one of two teams to stand unbeaten in league play.

Three-Pointer Streak Stopped: Mount Saint Vincent had a string of 195 straight games with at least one three-point field goal stopped on December 19, 2013 against Wartburg. Prior to going 0-for-14 from bonus distance against the Knights, the last time the Mount was held without a three-point field goal was on January 14, 2006 against Mount Saint Mary. Since the game against Wartburg, the Dolphins have connected on at least one three in each of their last 22 contests.

Nigro In The Record Books: Head Coach Brian Nigro ranks second all-time at Mount Saint Vincent in assists with 674. His career mark is also good for 18th all-time in Division III and his career average of 6.81 helpers per game ranks him 17th all-time in the Division III records.

Bench Production: Through six games the Dolphins' bench has outscored their opponent's bench by a total of 179-103. The Mount Saint Vincent bench has held the advantage in five of the six games played this season and is averaging just under 30 points per game.

Why Dolphins: During the early 1980's, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics adopted "Dolphins" as the official Mount Saint Vincent mascot with the ideal set forth that our Student-Athletes would exhibit the traits of a Dolphin in their athletics endeavors. Since mythical times, the Dolphin has been considered the most intelligent of water-dwelling animals because of their ability to communicate via a language.   On January 29, 2005, at halftime of the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Basketball game against Manhattanville College, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics unveiled its new Brand Identity and Logo. The selection of the new Brand was the latest step in the evolution of the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphin.
