Riverdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team will make its fourth straight appearance in the Skyline Conference Tournament and host an opening round match for the second straight season when it hosts fifth seeded Farmingdale State on Wednesday. The Dolphins and Rams will get underway at the Peter Jay Sharp Center starting at 7:00 p.m. with Live Stats available here.

At A Glance: The Dolphins will play in the opening round of the conference tournament and look for its first ever win in the event on Wednesday against Farmingdale State. The Dolphins hold a 0-5 record in the conference tournament heading into Wednesday's match, falling to Farmingdale State in the opening round off the 2007 event in four sets.

Mount Saint Vincent holds a 13-15 overall record and won six of its nine conference contests during the regular season. Junior
Ashleigh Scozzari (New Rochelle, N.Y.) led the team with 291 kills, 255 digs and 71 total blocks in 28 regular season matches, posting double-figures in kills 17 times and recording a team-high 10 double-doubles.

Sophomore
Maria Leineweber (Waimanalo, Hawaii) posted 171 kills in 73 sets in the 2014 regular season and finished third on the team in total blocks with 28. Freshman
Nicole Henderson (Bergenfield, N.J.) rounded out play in her first collegiate regular season with 563 assists and a team-high 71 service aces, while junior
Jennifer Roman (Queens Village, N.Y.) lifted 235 digs and totaled 63 service aces.

Head Coach: First year head coach
Alyssa Kaufman helped improve the Dolphins in nearly every statistical category in 2014, including service aces. The Dolphins totaled 104 more aces from a season ago and posted over one more ace per set from the 2013 season. Kaufman also helped Mount Saint Vincent to its highest win total since registering 13 victories during the 2010 season. Â

A standout player a Montreat (N.C.), Kaufman registered 1,312 kills and 1,800 digs in a four year career. She was named to the All-Freshman team in her first season with the Cavaliers and was an All-Conference selection each of her final three seasons.

A Look At Farmingdale State: Farmingdale State enters Wednesday's tournament tilt at 13-21 overall and is coming off a pair of non-league losses on Nov. 1, falling to New Paltz 3-0 and to Potsdam St. 3-2. Sarah Palladino totaled 12 kills in each match, while Megan Pisciotta handed out 44 assists against Potsdam. Francesca Calderon also had a strong match against Potsdam, lifting 17 digs. During the regular season, Palladino led the Rams in kills (240), service aces (100) and points (359), while Pisciotta handed out a team-high 433 assists. Calderon has lifted 398 digs coming into play tonight and Maia Cadle-Hinton has totaled a team-high 81 blocks.

The 2014 Match-Up: The two teams met earlier this season on October 11 at Purchase College with the Dolphins coming away with an impressive 25-22, 27-25, 25-22 victory.
Maria Leineweber led the Dolphins offensive attack with 12 kills and a .409 hitting percentage to go along with nine digs and two blocks.
Ashleigh Scozzari totaled 10 winners, hitting .320, and added 15 digs.
Nicole Henderson handed out 22 assists in the win and
Jennifer Roman posted 14 digs.

The Rams were led by eight kills from Karen Ulysse and were held to a .019 attack percentage. Ulysse also led Farmingdale State with 14 digs, while Megan Pisciotta handed out 11 assists.

The Series: Since the start of the 2004 season, Farmingdale State has won eight of the 12 matches contested, including a 3-1 victory in the 2007 Skyline Conference Tournament. The Dolphins' 3-0 win on October 11 gives the two programs a split in the last four outings against each other.

Community Service: Prior tonight's match, the College of Mount Saint Vincent will sponsor a clothing drive in conjunction with the Skyline Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. All donations will be given to My Sisters Place in White Plains, N.Y. to help support victims of Domestic Violence. Donation boxes will be set up in the Peter Jay Sharp Center lobby.

Skyline Conference Tournament: In addition to the match-up at the Peter Jay Sharp Center, Maritime and Mount Saint Mary will square-off in Newburgh, N.Y. in the second quarterfinal match. The winner of the Dolphins' contest will take on top-seeded Sage on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Purchase College as part of the Skyline Conference Fall Festival. The winner of the other quarterfinal match will take on St. Joseph's-L.I. at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with the winners vying for the conference championship on Saturday afternoon.Â
