Old Westbury, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team rounded out play in the regular season with a 25-5, 25-7, 25-3 three road win at Old Westbury and a hard fought 19-25, 23-25, 25-22, 19-25 neutral site loss to Mount Saint Mary. The Dolphins hit a season-high .432 against the Panthers, while
Nicole Henderson (Bergenfield, N.J.) matched her career-high with 31 assists against the Knights.

The Dolphins never trailed in the opening match of the day against Old Westbury and allowed only two Panther kills in the match. The Mount forced Old Westbury into a -.276 hitting percentage and converted 28 service aces.

Mount Saint Vincent had six players with at least two kills in the match, with
Maria Leineweber (Waimanalo, Hawaii) leading the way with six winners. She hit .364 in the match and added an assist to the winning effort.

Jane Greer (Bronx, N.Y.) finished up with five kills against the Panthers and hit .667 in six attempts.
Ashleigh Scozzari (New Rochelle, N.Y.) posted four kills and hit .429. Henderson handed out 19 assists in the tilt and totaled nine service aces.

Freshman
Kristine Javier (Fair Lawn, N.J.) finished with a match and career-high 11 service aces in the win with
Jennifer Roman (Queens Village, N.Y.) adding four aces and a team-high eight digs.

Mount Saint Vincent finished the match with a 22-2 edge in kills and a 28-1 advantage in service aces. The Dolphins hit .727 in the second set against Old Westbury and committed just six attack errors in 37 total attempts in the match.

Against Mount Saint Mary, the Dolphins cut their deficit to 2-1 after putting away 11 kills and hitting .267 in the third set. The Mount used a 7-0 run to overcome a 10-6 deficit, keyed by five Mount Saint Mary miscues to pull in front 13-10.

Mount Saint Vincent went on to close the set with the final five points, including three kills from Leineweber to post a 25-22 win and pull back into the match.

The Knights would use a 5-0 run in the middle stages of the fourth set to take a 13-10 lead and moved in front 24-15 on a Kayla Kurka kill, before Mount Saint Vincent ripped off four straight points to get back to 24-19. Rachel Sabatini put the match away for Mount Saint Mary with her 15
th kill of the match to secure the win and the third seed in the conference tournament for the Knights.

Leineweber and Scozzari each put away 11 kills in the match and combined for 22 of the team's 41 winners in the contest. Scozzari lifted 15 digs for her 10
th double-double of the season with Leineweber lifting nine digs and posting a pair of blocks.

Henderson handed out 31 assists for the second time in her career and added two aces and a career-high 18 digs. Roman lifted 12 digs for the Dolphins and Javier finished with 11 digs for the Mount.

Sabatini led all players with 15 kills in the match and added 15 digs for Mount Saint Mary. Chelsea Barberen posted a match-high 22 digs with Claire Scully and Kristen Maddock each handing out 17 assists.

Mount Saint Mary posted a 46-41 edge in kills in the match and a 16-5 advantage in service aces. Each team finished with total team blocks.

Following the split on Saturday, Mount Saint Vincent closes out the regular season with a 13-15 overall record and a 6-3 mark in league play. Next up for the Dolphins is a date with Farmingdale State on Wednesday in the Skyline Conference Tournament. The match-up is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Peter Jay Sharp Center.Â
