Purchase, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team remained perfect in league play on Saturday afternoon with a pair of 3-0 victories, downing Purchase 25-13, 25-11, 25-12 and toppling Farmingdale State 25-22, 27-25, 25-22. Junior Zana Daluz (Pawtucket, R.I.) totaled six kills and six service aces against Purchase to start the day.
 
Daluz led the Dolphins by hitting .556 against Purchase as the Mount ran its winning streak against the Panthers to five matches. She put away six kills in nine attempts and matched the team-high with six service aces. With the win Mount Saint Vincent moves to 9-1 against Purchase since 2004.
 
Junior Ashleigh Scozzari (New Rochelle, N.Y.) led all players in the contest with eight kills and hit .438 to go along with an ace and a dig. Sophomore Maria Leineweber (Waimanalo, Hawaii) rounded out the tilt with five winners and joined Daluz with six service aces.
 
Nicole Henderson (Bergenfield, N.J.) finished up the victory with a match-high 16 assists and totaled four service aces and six digs. Jennifer Roman (Queens Village, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with eight digs in the win.
 
Mount Saint Vincent closed out the opener on Saturday with a 22-12 advantage in kills and dominated in the service game with 24 aces. It marked the third time this season the Dolphins have recorded at least 20 kills in a contest. The Mount had eight different players post an ace in the match.
 
Mount Saint Vincent continued the momentum from its first victory in Saturday's second match, downing Farmingdale State for just the fourth time since the start of the 2004 season. The Dolphins held the Rams to a .019 attack percentage, while hitting .213 as a team.
 
Leineweber posted a match-high 12 kills against Farmingdale State and hit an efficient .409 in 22 attempts. She added nine digs and a pair of blocks to the winning effort. Scozzari chipped in with 10 kills for the Mount, hitting .320, and lifted a match-high 15 digs. The duo combined for 22 of the team's 30 kills in the match.
 
Henderson handed out 22 assists against the Rams and added two more service aces. Roman lifted 14 digs and Kristine Javier (Fair Lawn, N.J.) added eight digs in the victory. Daluz rounded out the day with three kills and a block.
 
Farmingdale State was led by eight kills and 14 digs from Karen Ulysse. Megan Pisciotta handed out 11 assists to lead the team and Sarah Palladino recorded half of the team's 12 service aces.
 
The Dolphins closed the tilt with a 30-24 edge in kills, while Farmingdale State held a 12-3 advantage in service aces. Mount Saint Vincent took a 3.5-3 edge in total team blocks, with Scozzari joining Leineweber with two assists.
 
Saturday's results gives Mount Saint Vincent five wins in its last six outings and moves it to 8-10 overall on the season and to 3-0 against Skyline Conference opponents. Next up for the Dolphins is a non-conference home match on Sunday afternoon against Pratt. Match time at the Peter Jay Sharp Center is set for 1:00 p.m.
