Yonkers, N.Y. – Paced by a balanced scoring attack, the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer team posted a 9-0 non-conference victory over Medgar Evers on Monday night. Alexis Andino (Port Reading, N.Y.), Laura Schools (East Northport, N.Y.), Bianca Russo (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Samantha Fioravanti (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) all scored their first career goals in the win.
 
Mount Saint Vincent got on the board early on Wednesday when Charlotte Barnham (London, England) finished off a pass from Shannon Doyle (Central Islip, N.Y.) at 1:29 for the game winning tally. It was Barnham's fifth goal of the season and she now leads the team in points with 14.
 
Victoria Astorino (Warwick, N.Y.) struck with her first goal of the season just under a minute later and Mandy D'Amico (Freehold, N.J.) gave the Dolphins a three goal lead at the 8:37 mark of the contest.
 
The lead would balloon to four when Louisa Jamgochian (Olney, Md.) converted her fifth goal of the season in the 12th minute and Russo and Doyle picked up goals in the final 15 minutes of the first period to give the Mount a 6-0 lead at the half.
 
The Dolphins would tally three times after the break with the three goal scorers each getting into the scoring column for the first time in their careers. Fioravanti and Andino scored just under five minutes apart in the middle stages of the second half and Schools closed out the scoring off a pass from Barnham in the 89th minute.
 
Mount Saint Vincent finished the game with nine players with a goal and 11 players with a point. D'Amico closed the night with four points, while Barnham and Doyle each picked up three for the Dolphins.
 
Kelly Hilly (Massapequa, N.Y.) earned the win in goal for the Mount after making a single save. She played 83 minutes on Wednesday and combined with Doyle on the team's sixth shutout. Marlene Thompson from Medgar Evers finished with 11 saves for the Cougars.
 
Mount Saint Vincent finished the night with a 26-1 advantage in shots overall and a 20-1 edge in shots on goal. The Dolphins took each of the four corner kicks awarded on the night.
 
Monday's win moves Mount Saint Vincent to 6-2 overall on the season. The Dolphins will return to Skyline Conference play on Sunday evening when they play host to Old Westbury. Kick-off at Tibbetts Brook Park is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
