Patchogue, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team split a pair of Skyline Conference matches on Saturday afternoon, falling to Sage by scores of 19-25, 20-25 and 17-25 before rebounding to down Purchase by scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-23 and 25-23. Sophomore
Zana Daluz (Pawtucket, R.I.) combined to hand out 52 assists for the Dolphins over the two matches.

In the opener against Sage, Daluz handed out 23 assists for the Dolphins to go along with eight digs.
Erika Moncada (Yonkers, N.Y.) added seven digs for Mount Saint Vincent against the Gators and chipped in with six kills.

Maria Leineweber (Waimanalo, Hawaii) led the Dolphins with nine kills in the contest to go along with five digs and a total block. Sophomore
Ashleigh Scozzari (New Rochelle, N.Y.) contributed eight kills for the Mount and
Jennifer Roman (Queens Village, N.Y.) matched Daluz with a team-high eight digs.

Overall in the match, Mount Saint Vincent finished with 27 kills and hit .062 as a team. The Dolphins totaled two service aces against Sage and one total team block.

Mount Saint Vincent would rebound against Purchase on Saturday to earn its third league win of the season in four outings. Scozzari led three Dolphins in double-figures in kills against the Panthers with 14 and also added four digs and two blocks. Scozzari hit .364 in the match for Mount Saint Vincent, committing just two attack errors in 33 attempts.

Brianna Walker (Pomona, N.Y.) put away 11 kills for Mount Saint Vincent in the win and hit .381 and Leineweber added 10 winners for the Dolphins. Leineweber rounded out a strong all-around match with four service aces, nine digs and a pair of blocks.

Daluz closed out a strong day for Mount Saint Vincent with 29 more assists against Purchase. She narrowly missed a double-double after lifting nine digs and chipped in with three service aces. Roman closed out the match with two aces for the Dolphins and seven digs.

For the match, Mount Saint Vincent put down 39 kills and hit .208 as a unit. The Dolphins posted 11 service aces against Purchase and recorded double-figures in the category for the sixth time this season. The Dolphins closed out a strong team effort with five total team blocks.

With Saturday's split, Mount Saint Vincent moves to 4-13 overall on the season and to 3-1 against Skyline Conference opponents. Next up for the Dolphins are two Skyline Conference matches against Farmingdale State and St. Joseph's-L.I. The league tilts will be played at Mount Saint Mary on October 13.
