Farmingdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Soccer team fell for the third straight time on Saturday with a 7-0 loss on the road at Farmingdale State. Barkel Foster (New York, N.Y.) finished the contest with nine saves for the Dolphins.
 
After playing a scoreless opening 21 minutes on Saturday, Farmingdale St. closed the half with three goals inside the final 24 minutes of the opening period for all the offensive support it would need. Michael Vultaggio opened the scoring at the 21:13 mark of the match and later assisted on the Rams' third goal of the period in the 44th minute.
 
Coming out of halftime, Farmingdale St. scored two goals just over two minutes apart to open a five goal advantage. The Rams added two more goals inside the final 13 minutes of play, including a penalty kick converted by goalkeeper Angelo Viteritti in the 78th minute.
 
Farmingdale State closed the game with seven different goal scorers and eight different players with at least one point. Vultaggio and Brian Anderson each finished the day with a goal and an assist for the Rams.
 
For the match, Farmingdale State held a 24-8 advantage in shots and an 18-2 edge in shots on goal. Tajay Simon (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with three attempts in the game and Ahmed Ajao (Brooklyn, N.Y.) put both of his shots on target.
 
With the loss, Mount Saint Vincent falls to 2-4-1 overall in 2012 and to 0-3 against Skyline Conference foes. The Dolphins will look to snap their three game slide on Tuesday when they play host to Maritime. Opening kick-off at Tibbetts Brook Park is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
