, Pa. The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team opened the Battlefield Classic on Friday afternoon with two losses, falling 3-1 to Rutgers-Camden and 3-0 to Gallaudet. The Dolphins dropped the Rutgers-Camden match by scores of 25-18, 10-25, 20-25 and 10-25 and the Gallaudet contest by scores of 5-25, 24-26 and 7-25.

Against Rutgers-Camden, sophomore Morgane Booker (East Providence, R.I.) paced the Dolphins with four kills. She also picked up a block assist in the match and lifted three digs. Renee Reynes (Bronx, N.Y.) and Kristine DeMasi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) each finished the contest with three winners for the Mount.

DeMasi also led three Mount Saint Vincent players with at least 10 digs with 18 in the tilt. Madeleine Garaicoa (Glendale, N.Y.) lifted 15 digs for the Dolphins and Reynes finished up with 10.

Maureen Metzner (Mineola, N.Y.) also had a solid match for the Mount with a team-high three service aces to go along with eight digs. Erin MacBride (Merrick, N.Y.) rounded out the match with 14 assists.

In the second match of the day, the Dolphins struggled to get any offense going against Gallaudet. Only two players recorded a kill in the contest, with Metzner leading the way with three. She also lifted 11 digs for the Dolphins.

DeMasi picked up the other two kills in the match for the Mount and also recorded one of the team's two service aces. Reynes rounded out a strong all-around day with a team-high 12 digs for the Mount.

The pair of losses dropped the Mount to 0-3 overall on the season. The Dolphins will round out the Classic on Saturday when they take on Washington College at 10:00 a.m. and Penn State-Mont Alto at noon.
