, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team had its league losing skid extended to four matches on Saturday with losses to Mount Saint Mary and NYU-POLY. The Dolphins fell to the host Knights in four sets by scores of  15-25, 25-17, 24-26 and 14-25 and then to the Blue Jays in five sets by scores of 17-25, 25-23, 25-19, 19-25 and 7-15.
 
In the opener against Mount Saint Mary, Kristine DeMasi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with a team-high 12 kills. She did not commit and error in the contest and hit .571 overall covering 21 total attacks. DeMasi rounded out a double-double effort with 10 digs to go along with a total block and six service aces.
 
Senior Jessica Williams (Cornwall, N.Y.) chipped in with five kills for the Mount and also lifted a pair of digs. Erin MacBride (Merrick, N.Y.) also had a strong match for Mount Saint Vincent after finishing with 20 assists and five digs.
 
Renee Reynes (Bronx, N.Y.) led all players with a match-high 25 digs and was one of two Mount Saint Vincent in double-figures in the category. Maureen Metzner (Mineola, N.Y.) joined Reynes with 16 digs to go along with a pair of kills and two aces.
 
Mount Saint Mary was led in the contest by 15 kills from Mary Ann Raftery and Taylor Woegens. Lauren Halverson posted a match-high 37 assists for the Knights, with Woegens also leading the way in digs with 19.
 
Overall in the tilt, Mount Saint Mary posted 43 kills to 23 for Mount Saint Vincent and the Knights also led in digs 73-67. The Dolphins did finish with four total team blocks in the match, with Morgane Booker (East Providence, R.I.) leading the way with three total blocks.
 
In the second match of the day, Mount Saint Vincent dropped a five set heartbreaker after holding a 2-1 advantage over the preseason league favorite Blue Jays. DeMasi again was the team leader in kills with 10. She recorded her second double-double of the day with 17 digs for the Dolphins.
 
Metzner chipped in with six kills for Mount Saint Vincent and matched the team-high with four service aces. Metzner was also one of four Dolphins to post at least 10 digs with 18 in the contest.
 
Williams totaled five kills for the Mount against the Blue Jays, while Booker contributed four winners and a team-high four total blocks.
 
Reynes led all players against NYU-POLY with a match-high 42 digs, with Designa Correa (Bronx, N.Y.) rounding out the quartet in double-figures with a season-high 13 digs.
 
The Blue Jays were led by 19 kills from Victoria Kalvert and 11 winners each from Melissa Pona and Corey Loupee. Kalvert also led the team with 24 digs and seven total blocks. Loupee led all players with 36 assists in the contest.
 
NYU-POLY held the edge in kills 55-25, while the Dolphins lifted 95 digs to 70 for the Blue Jays. Both teams had a strong day at the net, with NYU-POLY posting seven total team blocks and the Dolphins finishing with 6.5.
 
After Saturday the Dolphins stand at 4-11 overall on the season and 0-4 in Skyline Conference play. The Dolphins will look to pick up their first league win of the season on Monday night when they play host to Yeshiva. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.
