New Haven, Conn. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team snapped a three match losing streak on Thursday night with a 3-1 non-conference victory at Albertus Magnus. The Dolphins took care of the Falcons by scores of 24-26, 25-17, 25-12 and 25-15. Three Dolphins finished the match with career-highs on Thursday, including Morgane Booker (East Providence, R.I.) who totaled 16 kills.
 
After dropping the first set on Thursday, the Dolphins rebounded to win the next three and recorded 35 of their 48 kills over that stretch. Mount Saint Vincent finished off the match that by hitting .310 in the fourth set, including four kills from Booker.
 
Booker hit .417 for the Dolphins in match, committing only one error in 36 total attacks. Her career-high kill total was the match-high and she rounded out a strong match with a pair of aces, a dig and four total blocks.
 
Senior Maureen Metzner (Mineola, N.Y.) finished up the night with a career-high 23 digs for the Dolphins and also totaled four kills and a pair of aces. Also posting a career-high on Thursday was junior setter Erin MacBride (Merrick, N.Y.) who handed out a career-best 31 assists in the match. She also posted seven kills and three digs for the Dolphins in the win.
 
Jessica Williams (Cornwall, N.Y.) finished the contest with 12 winners for the Mount and hit an impressive .346 for the match. She also totaled a service ace and a pair of total blocks for the Dolphins. Renee Reynes (Bronx, N.Y.) also had a strong night for the Mount with 23 digs to go along with a kill and an assist.
 
Albertus Magnus was paced on the night by nine kills from Elizabeth Williams. Melissa Manning chipped in with eight kills and 16 digs. Krista LaBissionierre posted a match-high 26 digs and Leanna Velez led the squad with 26 assists.
 
Overall in the match, Mount Saint Vincent totaled 48 kills to 32 for Albertus Magnus. The Falcons lifted 70 digs in the match to 66 for the Dolphins, while the Mount recorded the only six total team blocks in the match.
 
The win improves Mount Saint Vincent's overall record to 7-14 on the season. The Dolphins will be back in action again on Saturday when they host a Skyline Conference Tri-Match. The Dolphins will host Maritime at 9:00 a.m. and then St. Joseph's-L.I. at 1:00 p.m.
