Kehoe opened the scoring on Tuesday for the Mount with her second goal of the season at the 16:37 mark of the match. She took a pass from Ramirez and buried a shot from the left wing for an early 1-0 lead.

 

Ramirez would tack on the eventual game winning goal in the 28th minute for the Dolphins after Nicole Flores (Bethpage, N.Y.) fed a corner kick into the box. Ramirez collected the ball and beat CCNY keeper Jessica Cardona. Ramirez would close out the scoring before halftime in the 34th minute with her second of the day when she buried a shot from the box to send Mount Saint Vincent to a commanding 3-0 lead at the break.

 

After halftime the Dolphins picked right up where they left off when Carr collected her first career goal on a rebound at 53:36. She finished the day with three shots for the Mount and became the second Mount Saint Vincent player to score her first career goal in the team's first four games.

 

The only blemish on the score sheet for Mount Saint Vincent came at 57:40 when Tabitha Azor beat Mount Saint Vincent keeper Kara McNish (Hawthorne, N.J.) with a blast from the right wing. McNish made two saves in the contest and picked up her first career win in goal for the Dolphins.

 

Overall in the match, Mount Saint Vincent outshot the Beavers 16-7 and also held a 6-2 edge in corner kicks. Fouls on the afternoon were whistled 15-9 against CCNY and the Dolphins were called for offsides six times against just three for CCNY.

 

The win moves Mount Saint Vincent to 1-3 overall on the season heading into league play starting this week. The Dolphins will travel to Bard on Thursday night to play their Skyline Conference opener with the Raptors. Kick-off on Thursday is slated for 7:00 p.m.
