Women’s Volleyball Swept At CCNY

night at the City College of New York. The Dolphins were defeated in the contest by set scores of 8-25, 19-25 and 13-25. Junior Irma Nepomuceno (Bronx, N.Y.) finished with three kills, while classmate Caryl Garcia (Bronx, N.Y.) posted a team-high five digs.

Nepomuceno and senior Lisa O'Shea (White Plains, N.Y.) were the only Mount Saint Vincent players to record more than one kill in the contest, as the team finished with just seven on the night. Bridget Leonard (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and Erin MacBride (Merrick, N.Y.) were the other players with kills on the night.

Garcia posted five of the Dolphins 15 digs on the night with O'Shea posting four on the night. Leonard and Kristine DeMasi (Bay Ridge, N.Y.) each recorded a pair of service aces for the Dolphins on Tuesday.

The Beavers were led by Floriana Garo in the match with nine kills, five aces and six defensive digs. Dalliana Toussaint posted a team best seven digs and setter Jasmine Bermudez posted a match-high 19 assists. Overall in the match CCNY hit .288 as a team.

The loss is Mount Saint Vincent's second straight and drops it to 7-9 overall on the season. The Dolphins will be back in action again on Saturday in a Skyline Conference tri-match at Farmingdale St. The Mount will take on the host Rams at 10:00 a.m. and then tussle with Bard at noon.
