Thursday night at CCNY by a score of 3-0. Scores of the sets were 4-25, 13-25 and 13-25 against the Mount. Sophomore
Christina Pierre (Bronx, NY) led the charge for the Dolphins with five kills in the contest.
Pierre was just one of three players that recorded a winner in the match, with Lisa O'Shea (White Plains, NY) and Jessica Williams (Cornwall, NY) each recording one kill apiece. Pierre finished the match with a .308 hitting percentage, while Williams posted a pair of service aces and a block assist.
Caryl Garcia (Yonkers, NY) and Renee Reynes (Bronx, NY) tied for the team lead in defensive digs against the Beavers with each recording four. Garcia also added a service ace for the Dolphins. Freshman setter Krystal Miranda (Putnam Valley, NY) finished the evening with six assists to go along with a solo block.
The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent's overall record to 10-6 on the season. The Dolphins will be back in action again on October 26 for a Skyline Conference Tri-match at Bard. The Mount will tangle with the host Raptors at 1:00 p.m. before taking on Polytechnic at 3:00 p.m.
