Maggie McGowan (Brooklyn, NY/St. Savior HS) registered a season-high eight kills and Meghan Flaherty (Yonkers, NY/Yonkers HS) and
Roxanne Predergast (Center Moriches, NY/Westhampton Beach HS) each added six kills, with Predergast adding six aces, as the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team broke a two-match winning streak with a 3-0 win over the College of New Rochelle. The match was played at Mount Saint Vincent.
The Dolphins swept the match by scores of 30-18, 30-19, and 30-20 en route to their fifth win of the 2005 season. The Mount is 5-9 overall and now 3-0 in the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC).
Also having big nights for the Dolphins, setter Monique Lopez (Bronx, NY/Aquinas HS) had a match-high 15 assists, while Renee Rivas (Bergenfield, NJ/Paramus Catholic HS) and Kimoy Carrington (Bronx, NY/Truman HS) added 13 digs and 12 digs, respectively.
Next up for Mount Saint Vincent is a trip to Oneonta, New York for the Hartwick College Tournament on Friday Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1. The times and opponents will be announced before the end of the week.
