on Wednesday at Tibbetts Brook Park. Junior Kelly Curran (Wharton, NJ) tallied the Mount's lone goal in the contest in the second half.

CCNY took its first lead of the day in the 31st minute on an unassisted tally from Carina Subia. That goal was the only marker of the first 45:00, as the Beavers took the one goal advantage into halftime. CCNY would net the eventual game winner at 54:50 when Ana Alban dribbled in from the right wing and snuck the ball inside the near post.

Mount Saint Vincent would get on the board on Curran's second tally of the season at the 62:36 mark in the second half. Julianne Abel (New Hyde Park, NY) threw a ball towards the goal that was deflected towards Curran. Curran buried the ball in the wide open net to bring the Mount to within a goal at 2-1.

The Beavers would put the game away with two more goals in the final 25:00 to secure their first win of the season. Erika Ramirez and Kristina Phu added the insurance on a free kick and a partial breakaway, respectively.

Senior Annamaria Buzzetta (Brooklyn, NY) made her first career start in net for the Mount and made nine saves, including two from point blank range on Phu. Her counterpart, Angelika Slabiak, made one save in the contest for the Beavers.

Overall, CCNY held the edge in shots 20-7 and in shots on goal 13-2. Mount Saint Vincent held the advantage in corner kicks 4-2 and foul in the match went 8-6 against the Beavers. CCNY was offside on 10 occasions Wednesday.

The loss, Mount Saint Vincent's fifth straight, drops the Dolphins to 1-7 overall on the season. The Mount will be back in action again on Wednesday, October 1 when it hosts Medgar Evers. Kick-off at Tibbetts Brook Park is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
