Annamaria Buzzetta scored two goals at Maritime on Saturday.

of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer team played Maritime to a 3-3 draw. Annamaria Buzzetta (Brooklyn, NY) scored two goals and classmate Jen Lupero (Mamaroneck, NY) added a marker, while Kat Gentsch (Staten Island, NY) posted an assist for the Dolphins. 

Lupero opened the scoring at the 7:35 mark of the match off a feed from Gentsch for her first goal of the season to give the Dolphins an early one goal advantage. The Privateers would answer with the next two goals of the game to take a 2-1 advantage into halftime.

After starting the game as the goalkeeper, Buzzetta would score the first two goals of the second half, at 63:21 and 76:02 to put the Dolphins on top 3-2 late in the contest. Maritime's Erika Ramirez would answer with the equalizer when she netted her second goal of the game with 2:01 remaining in regulation time. Neither team would score over two 10:00 overtime periods and the game went as a draw.

Buzzetta made three saves in the first half on Saturday, before Jen Kushner (Mastic, NY) came on to stop a pair of shots in 55:00 of work. Alicia Schimdt of Maritime stopped nine shots for the Privateers.

Overall in the contest, Mount Saint Vincent out shot Maritime 16-15 and also held the edge in shots on goal at 12-8. Corner kicks also went in favor of the Dolphins at 7-3 and fouls in the tilt were whistled 17-10 against the Privateers.

The draw moves Mount Saint Vincent's record to 1-14-1 overall on the season and to 1-6-1 in the Skyline Conference. The Dolphins will close out the 2008 season on Sunday evening when they host Sage. Kick-off at Purchase is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
