BRONXVILLE, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Basketball team improved to 2-1 on Wednesday night with a 65-20 win at New Rochelle. Senior captain
Kaitlin Burud (Red Hook, NY) led the Mount with 10 points, while
Sam Reynolds (Mamaroneck, NY) Victoria Cifu (Pittsfield, MA), and
Prisca Dalusma (Brooklyn, NY) all registered their first career points.
Burud scored eight of her 10 points in the first half, as the Dolphins posted 41 points in the opening frame. Courtney Heesemann (New Hyde Park, NY) scored six points in the first half, while Lauren Percodani (Staten Island, NY) scored seven points and Karissa Koerner (Bay Shore, NY) netted a pair of threes in the first.
The win moved the Dolphins to 2-1 overall on the season and to 1-0 in the HVWAC. The Mount will open Skyline Conference play on Saturday when it hosts Farmingdale State at 2:00 p.m.
