the Mount's five seniors scored in the game with Courtney Heesemann (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) leading the way with 15 points and 10 rebounds for her 38th career double-double.

The Dolphins trailed only once in the contest on Wednesday and pulled in front for good after a Heesemann layup at the 16:35 mark of the opening period. Ciara Clarke (Warwick, N.Y.) followed with a three pointer to move the Mount in front by five until the two teams went three minutes without scoring.

Heesemann ended the drought with a jumper and gave the Mount a seven point lead and sparked a 9-3 run that saw the advantage grow to 22-7 with 9:40 left until halftime. The 15 point bulge would be the largest lead of the half until Heesemann and Karissa Koerner (Bay Shore, N.Y.) scored on back-to-back possessions to move the Dolphins in front 34-17. Bard tallied at the horn to slice its deficit back to 15 heading into the intermission.

The advantage in the first half came from long distance as the Mount converted six three point field goals to none for Bard. That was the difference in overall shooting as the Dolphins converted 14 field goals in the half to just eight for the Raptors. Mount Saint Vincent's Kerry O'Connor (Bethpage, N.Y.) knocked in three triples to lead all scorers at the break with nine points.

The Dolphins scored the first five points of the second period to move in front by an even 20 before the two teams went on another three minute scoring drought. Heesemann ended the string with a free-throw as the Mount maintained a 20 point lead the rest of the evening.

The advantage reached a game-high 27 points following another O'Connor three point field goal, before the Raptors scored the final five points of the night to close the contest to within the final 61-39 final.

Heesemann finished the night 7-for-12 from the field and split her 10 boards evenly between the offensive and defensive glass. After her 10 board effort on Wednesday she stands just 18 shy of 1,000 in her career.

Koerner and O'Connor each netted 12 points for the Dolphins, with each draining four treys. The duo combined for eight of the team's 11 triples on the night. Koerner also pulled in 10 rebounds for a double-double and that matches a career-high on the glass.

Rounding out the senior glass were Jill Brady (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) who totaled seven points, Clarke who also netted seven points and Lauren Percodani (Staten Island, N.Y.) who posted four tallies and a game-high seven assists.

The win moves Mount Saint Vincent to 17-8 overall and to 13-5 in league play heading into next week's Skyline Conference Tournament. The Dolphins will be in action Tuesday at a site and against an opponent to be determined.
