Westbury. Brady led four Dolphins in double-figures and also pulled down six rebounds.

After Old Westbury took the lead on three occasions in the opening four minutes on Wednesday, the Dolphins took the advantage for good on a Courtney Heesemann (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) layup with 15:24 remaining in the first half. That bucket started a 12-0 run for the Mount that concluded with a pair of Brady free-throws which opened a 17-6 lead for the Dolphins.

The Mount lead would grow to a half-high 15 points after two Heesemann conversions from the line in the final half minute, but a Krystina Agard triple for the visiting Panthers with 13 seconds left cut the Mount Saint Vincent lead to 34-22 after 20 minutes of play.

Brady finished the first half just one point shy of her previous career-high with 16 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the field. She knocked in three of the Mount's four triples in the half and also secured three rebounds.

Mount Saint Vincent would keep the lead in double-figures for the majority of the second half and held a lead as large as 24 points after a Karissa Koerner (Bay Shore, N.Y.) trey with 7:26 to play in regulation time.

From that point Old Westbury put together a 14-1 run over a nearly a seven minute span to slice their deficit to five points following back-to-back buckets from Brittany Jones in the final minute.

Mount Saint Vincent would close out the game with the final six points, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe over the final half minute. Senior Lauren Percodani (Staten Island, N.Y.) made four straight in that span for the Dolphins.

Overall on the night the Mount defense held Old Westbury to just 31-percent shooting and forced 20 turnovers, turning those into 30 points. The Dolphins lost possession of the ball just 13 times in the tilt and allowed the Panthers only eight points off of their miscues.

Although Mount Saint Vincent struggled from the field as well, the Dolphins made six more triples then the Panthers and went 29-for-38 from the free-throw line to secure the win. Percodani posted career-highs on the night with 12 free-throws made in 14 attempts. She finished the night with 14 points and six assists for the Dolphins.

Brady concluded her career night by going 6-for-14 from the floor, with half of her makes coming from behind the arc. She also went 8-for-9 from the free-throw line and added six rebounds.

Heesemann and Koerner rounded out the quartet in double-figures with 13 and 12 points respectively. Heesemann also corralled nine boards and swiped five steals, while Koerner drilled three triples.

The win snaps a two game losing streak for the Mount and pushes it to 11-8 overall on the season and to 8-5 in league play. The Dolphins will be back on the court on Saturday for another pivotal Skyline Conference matchup against St. Joseph's-L.I. The contest will be played at Hayes Gymnasium on the Mount Saint Vincent campus and will tip-off at 1:00 p.m.
