Keiran Halton (Manasquan, NJ) who posted 13 points and his first career double-double.
Senior Joe Cooke (Mount Vernon, NY) opened the scoring in the game with a free-throw before the opening tip due to an administrative technical foul. He then gave the Mount the lead back with 17:31 left in the half on a three pointer. A jumper by Tyler Muer (Goshen, NY) would put the Mount ahead by three with 16:49 left to give the Dolphins their largest lead of the game.
A three-point goal from Joe Cammarata would knot the score at 8-8, before Farmingdale St. took the lead for good at 10-8 with 16:09 left before the half on a pair of free-throws from Damien Santana. Santana finished the half with 20 points on 7-11 shooting, including 4-6 shooting from long distance.
The Rams opened the lead to double figures with 10:31 left in the half on another Santana three, and ran out to its largest lead of the half, 57-32, with just over 1:00 remaining in the half on a pair of free-throws from Eractus Shannon.
Overall in the half, Farmingdale St. shot a red hot 73.3-percent (22-30) from the field and an impressive 72.7-percent (8-11) from three-point range. Santana was one of three Rams in double-figures in the half, with Mike Campbell adding 14 and Shannon posting 11. Dino Johnson (Amsterdam, NY) led the Mount with 11 points in the frame keyed by 3-4 shooting from behind the arc.
The Rams shot just over 54-percent from the floor in the second half and held a lead of 48 points in the frame on their way to the victory. Campbell led all scores in the frame with 12 points.
For the game, Farmingdale St. shot 63.1-percent (41-65) from the floor, while Mount Saint Vincent shot just 38-percent (27-71) from the floor. Santana and Campbell each tied for the game-high with 26 points and were two of five players in double-figures for the Rams.
Halton finished with a team-high 13 points in the contest and a game and career-high 10 rebounds. Johnson finished the game with 11 points and freshman Joe Ecock (Brooklyn, NY) posted 10 for the Dolphins.
The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 7-7 overall on the season and to 5-3 in the Skyline Conference. The Dolphins will look to stop their two game losing skid on January 22 when they host Old Westbury. Tip-off with the Panthers is slated for 6:00 p.m.
