John Foreman (Tarrytown, NY/Sleepy Hollow) who posted a career-best 12 points.
Joining Foreman in double-figures for the Dolphins was fellow reserve Kyle Byrons (Goshen, NY/Burke Catholic) who finished the night with 10 points. Foreman contributed three rebounds in the contest, while Byrons finished with nine boards, including three on the offensive glass.
Kevin Garlan (Jackson Heights, NY/Archbishop Molloy) led the team with eight rebounds on Friday night, while Derek Charlton (Yonkers, NY/St. Raymond's) and Dino Johnson (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) each grabbed six. Charlton finished the night with seven points, while junior Joe Cooke (Mount Vernon, NY/Fordham Prep) finished up with nine.
For the game, the Dolphins shot 33.8-percent from the floor and just 3-18 from three-point range. The Dolphins did hold the advantage in rebounds at 46-45, including a 16-13 edge on the offensive side.
Westfield State held the advantage in points in the paint at 48-38 in the game, as well as in points off of turnovers at 19-16. Mount Saint Vincent posted a 15-11 edge in second chance points, but never held a lead in the game.
The loss drops the Mount to 3-7 overall on the season. The Dolphins will return to Skyline Conference play on January 8 with a road contest at St. Joseph's-Long Island. Tip-Off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
