The Dolphins would cut their deficit to six points on a Dino Johnson (Amsterdam, N.Y.) triple with just over 12 minutes left in the half, but that would be as close as the Mount would get the remainder of the game.

Maritime had three players score in double-figures in the opening 20 minutes as it converted 48.5-percent of it field goal chances. Adedokun Olanrewwaju and Williams paced the attack with 11 points each.

Cody Guavard (Rockaway Park, N.Y.) scored all 11 of his points in the first half for Mount Saint Vincent, but the team converted just nine of its 29 field goal attempts and went just 1-for-9 from three point range as it trailed 41-24 at the intermission.

The Privateers would push its lead to a game-high 21 points on three occasions in the second half and did not allow the Dolphins to get closer then 10 points in the frame. The Mount would cut its deficit to that 10 point margin once on an Ecock free-throw and then again on a lay in from Carson Miller (New Oxford, Pa.) with 10:33 remaining in regulation.

Maritime would respond with a 10-0 run to push its lead back to 20 points with just under seven minutes left to play in the contest. Mount Saint Vincent would battle back to get to within 11 on a fast break bucket from Val Arranz (New York, N.Y.) but Maritime went 4-of-4 from the free-throw line down the stretch to pick up the final 15 point edge.

Saturday was the second straight game the Mount Saint Vincent defense allowed a team to shoot better then 50-percent from the floor, as Maritime finished 33-of-65 from the floor. Maritime only attempted four three point field goals in the game, but converted a pair of those.

Olanrewwaju and Giovanni Hurley each collected a double-double for Maritime as the duo combined to go 14-for-27 from the field. Olanrewwaju posted 19 points and 10 boards in the tilt and Hurley finished with 13 points and a game-high 17 rebounds.

The Dolphins finished the game 25-for-64 from the floor and 8-for-26 from behind the arc. Caputo and Ecock combined for seven of the eight team three pointers made. Mount Saint Vincent again struggled from the free-throw line, misfiring on 10 chances. The Dolphins also turned the ball over 20 times leading to 23 Maritime tallies.

The loss is the Mount's third straight league loss and drops it below .500 on the season at 6-7 overall and to 3-6 against Skyline opponents. The Dolphins will be back in action again on Tuesday when they host Bard. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
