Randy Battle (Bronx, NY) led three Mount Saint Vincent players in double-figures with 15 points as the Men's Basketball team won at Yeshiva by a score of 73-53.

DiMaggio (Croton, NY) and
Joe Cooke (Mount Vernon, NY) also had solid games with 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Battle shot 6-10 from the floor in the contest and also contributed three rebounds, two assists and a steal in the road win. DiMaggio knocked down a pair of three-pointers and was 4-4 from the free-throw line in the contest for the Mount.
The Dolphins never trailed in the game and took the lead for good in the contest on a three-pointer from Dino Johnson (Amsterdam, NY) in the first two minutes. Johnson finished the evening with seven points, three rebounds and two assists in his second start of the season.
The Dolphins went on to score the first 11 points of the game and built a lead as big as 13 with 8:54 left in the opening stanza before the Maccabees put together a run to close the half. Yeshiva finished the half on a 12-6 run keyed by three-pointers from David Gilboa and Martin Leibovich to cut the Mount Saint Vincent lead to just 26-19 at the half.
The Dolphins were not able to pull away early in the second half and the Maccabees cut into the deficit further on a second chance three from Alex Claster to cut the Mount lead to four.
The Mount would methodically build its lead back to double-figures and a three from DiMaggio with 13:24 left in regulation put the visitors in front 37-26. The lead would get under double-figures just one more time in the tilt and the Mount's lead would balloon to 22 points twice late in the half before the final 73-53 verdict.
Overall in the contest Mount Saint Vincent shot 42.4-percent (25-59) from the field, but struggled from long range, shooting just 8-26 in the game. The Mount did convert 15-18 from the free-throw line, while Yeshiva only attempted eight free-throws in the contest.
Yeshiva (5-6, 3-4 Skyline) shot 42.9-percent from the field and was led by Leibovich with 16 points and Simon Brookim with 11. The Maccabees turned the ball over 20 times in the game which led to 22 Mount Saint Vincent points.
DiMaggio posted a new career-high in rebounds with eight on the night and also led the team in assists with three. Cooke contributed four rebounds for the Dolphins to go along with an assist and a steal. Junior co-captain Eric Lastres (Bayside, NY) finished the evening with four points, five rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals in the winning effort.
The win improves the Mount's record to 5-4 overall on the season and to 3-1 in the Skyline Conference. The Dolphins will be back in action again on Friday afternoon for a home game against Morrisville State. Tip-Off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
