(Riverdale, NY) – Four Dolphins scored in double figures and senior James Mooney (Bronx, NY/Iona Prep HS) broke 20 points for the third straight games, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men's Basketball team lost their second straight game, 85-68 to Baruch in a game played at Mount Saint Vincent. With the loss, Mount Saint Vincent falls to 1-2 this season while Baruch improves to 4-1.

The game was actually a slugfest for much of the four minutes as the teams were tied at 37 at halftime, and Mount Saint Vincent actually opened a 50-39 lead with 15:53 remaining in the game.  However, Baruch stormed back as their defense tightened up and the Bearcats went on a 22-4 run to take a commanding lead. Baruch's Robi Davidson (Tel Aviv, Israel/Beverly Hills HS) and Louie Karis (Brooklyn, NY/Canarsie HS) each scored 14 points during the final 15 minutes of play. Karis finished the game with 24 points, while Davidson finished with 21 points, including 5 for 10 shooting from three-point range.

For Mount Saint Vincent, Mooney - who entered the game averaging 36.5 points per game - had another big night with 23 points, five steals, and five rebounds, while Charles Hernandez (Bronx, NY/Msgr. Scanlan) added 10 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore Corey Petrucelli (Stratford, CT/St. Joesph's) had another fine outing with his second career double-double as he scored 10 points and added 10 rebounds. The Dolphins were plagued once again by turnovers (21), and the Mount only shot 26% from the floor during the second half of play, including a stretch of 7:13 without a field goal during Baruch's 22-4 run.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 30 when they host inter-borough rival, Lehman, for a 7:00 p.m. game.
