double-double of the 2006-07 season with 14 points and nine rebounds, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men's Basketball team lost 65-51 to Yeshiva University on Friday night during a game played at Yeshiva. With the loss, Mount Saint Vincent falls to 2-18 overall and 1-11 in Skyline Conference play.

Unlike the last Mount Saint Vincent trip to Yeshiva, a 22-point loss on Dec. 14, 2005, Saturday night's game was a competitive affair nearly from start-to-finish. Yeshiva scored the game's first eight points, and led 12-2 6:15 into the game before a 10-4 Dolphin run made it 16-12, and a battle ensued. A late 9-0 run by the Mount gave the Dolphins a 21-18 lead with 2:50 remaining in the first half, but a late run by the Macs gave Yeshiva a 26-23 halftime lead during one of the best defensive halves of the year for Mount Saint Vincent.

Yeshiva, however, turned things on during the second half as they shot 50% from the floor during the second half, including a 5 for 9 effort from three-point range, and they second eight of the game's final 10 points to put the contest away. The Macs shot 46% from the floor for the game, compared to Mount Saint Vincent's 39%, and also converted 18 out of 22 free throw attempts, while the Dolphins went to the line only eight times. Otherwise, the game was a statistical wash as the Mount turned the ball over 22 times while Yeshiva had 21 turnovers, and the Macs owned a slim 29-26 rebounding edge.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Monday, Feb. 5 when they host Skyline Conference leading Stevens Institute of Technology at 7:00 p.m.
