Bart Moroney joins UMSV and the staff as an assistant coach for the 2026 season.
Moroney will assist with training sessions, player development, recruiting, and overall team operations.
A native of Breezy Point, New York, Moroney attended SUNY Purchase, where he graduated in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
Moroney was a four-year member of the Purchase men's soccer program from 2021–2025, where he played as a left back. Over his career, he appeared in and started all 48 games, demonstrating consistency and durability. Moroney also served as team captain during the 2023–2024 seasons and was named to the Skyline All-Academic Team each year from 2021–2025.
In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Moroney was an active leader on campus as an Executive Member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee from September 2021 through May 2025.
Moroney began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the varsity boys soccer program at Poly Prep Country Day School in 2025.
Outside of soccer, Moroney enjoys spending time with his dog, Breezy.
