Queens, NY -  On Saturday, May 4, the Dolphin Track squad traveled to Queens, New York to the Tom Farrell Classic on the campus of St. John's University. The CMSV athletes continued improvement following the Skyline Championships five days prior. The Lady Dolphins took to the track during the cold and wet morning session and the men had their turn later that day. The weather conditions during the early portion of the day did not deter the women from competing at the highest level. 

Mairead Bromm ran the race of day. The senior distance runner improved her 1500 meter personal best by a whooping 23 seconds. Bromm placed ninth overall in a time of 5:36.16. Senior Lauramae Cocchi continued to re-write the record book by breaking her own 1500 meter record. Cocchi placed seventh overall in a time of 5:18.55. Maiya Foster-Daniels, sophomore from the Bronx, NY, continued her recording breaking season. Foster-Daniels improved her time by five seconds, finishing the two lap 800 meter race in 2:34.2. The 4x400 meter relay squad of Foster-Daniels, Emmaulisa Riano, Bromm, and Ariana Bolourchi placed third overall.

The weather cleared for the men's competition in the afternoon. The fair conditions were advantageous for senior sprinter Julius Tumukunde, who ran personal bests in the 100 meter (12.05) and 200 meter (25.01). Junior Mark Mofus continued to show improvement in the quarter mile. Mofus broke his own 400 meter record in a time of 53.11. Freshman William Dennis made his way onto the CMSV record board by breaking the 3000 meter record in a time of 11:58.17.

The Dolphins wrap up the inaugural outdoor track season at the West Point Last Chance Meet on the historic United States Military Academy campus on May 9.
